To the Hilton Garden Inn - Univeristy Place from the Pittsburgh Airport: 

28X Airport Flyer: $2.75 The Pittsburgh Port Authority offers a very reliable and inexpensive bus service that will bring you into the Oakland area. Both CMU and the Hilton Garden Inn are located in the Oakland neighborhood. The bus is the 28X Airport Flyer and is available at the Ground Transportation area in the Pittsburgh Airport.  No reservations are needed. It begins operation at 4:30AM and ends at Midnight. A bus departs the airport approximately every 30 minutes.

Exact change is required, credit cards are not accepted, and drivers do not carry cash.    

The 28X will make a number of stops in the Oakland area. For the Hilton Garden Inn, you will want to use the Forbes Avenue and McKee Place stop. 

If you are coming to CMU directly from the airport, the 28X will stop at the CMU campus on the corner of Forbes Avenue and Morewood Avenue. Depending on time of day and due to the number of stops along the way, it may take approximately 1.5 hours to arrive at CMU from the airport.

Uber and Lyft:  Uber and Lyft are available in our area and are great and often inexpensive options for getting to and from your destinations.

To CMU from the Hotel: 

The hotel is located a mile from CMU's campus, approximately a 20-minute walk.

If you have a car and wish to drive to campus, contact Debbie or Vicki several days ahead of time to arrange parking at the campus garage.
